On the occasion of Pitti Immagine 93, the Istituto Europeo di Design held in Florence four days of activities (from the 9th to the 12th January 2018) with the participation of Livia Firth, designer and creator of Eco-Age.
Eco Age is a foundation actively promoting less impacting production processes in the fashion industry and more conscious consumption.
Students from different IED schools will be guided by Tiziano Guardini in the creation of the green capsule collection. Tiziano Guardini is the winner of the Franca Sozzani GCC Award for Best Emerging Designer, an international contest promoted by the Milan Changer of Fashion in collaboration with Eco-Age.
EcoEgo is the name of the project designed by IED, which involves the collaboration of companies of excellence in Made in Italy, which were selected for their environmentally conscious production processes and will supply the fabrics and raw materials necessary for creating clothes and accessories during the workshop days.
The workshop has seen the participation of partner companies, including TEXMODA, Isko, Filmar, Ecoalf, Econyl, in order to guide and inspire the students involved until the final prototypes presentation.
